साल का आखिरी सूर्यग्रहण (Solar Eclipse ) 26 दिसम्बर 2019 को लगने वाला है। सूर्यग्रहण के समय पर कुछ कामों को करना वर्जित माना जाता है। खंडग्रास सूर्यग्रहण के चलते 26 दिसंबर को नगर के मंदिरों में पूजन पाठ एक दिन पहले ही रात को 25 दिसंबर बुधवार रात 8 बजते ही बंद हो जायेंगे।

सूतक काल में किसी भी तरह के शुभ कार्य नहीं किये जाते हैं। सूर्य ग्रहण का सूतक ग्रहण से 12 घंटे पहले 25 दिसंबर को शाम 5 बजकर 32 मिनट से शुरू हो जायेगा जिसकी समाप्ति 26 दिसंबर को सुबह 10 बजकर 57 मिनट पर होगी। यह आंशिक सूर्य ग्रहण सुबह 8.17 मिनट से शुरू होकर 10:57 पर समाप्त होगी।
काशी समय के अनुसार, 26 दिसंबर को सूर्यग्रहण सुबह 8:21 बजे से शुरू होगा। 8:21 बजे से स्पर्श केबाद 9:40 बजे ग्रहण का मध्य होगा, 11:14 बजे मोक्ष होगा। ग्रहण लगभग 173 मिनट लंबा चलेगा। इस बार यह लखनऊ में एक मिनट पहले 8:20 बजे से ही शुरू हो जायेगा। सूर्यग्रहण का सूतक काल 12 घंटे पहले से शुरू हो जाएगा।

शास्त्रों के मुताबिक, ग्रहण के दौरान भगवद मूर्ति स्पर्श करना, भोजन आदि समेत तमाम वर्जित कार्यों से बचना श्रेयस्कर बताया गया है।खंडग्रास सूर्यग्रहण कर्क, तुला, कुंभ, मीन के लिए शुभ फलकारक परिणाम लाएगा, जबकि अन्य जातकों के लिये ये मिला जुला रहेगा। ज्योतिषियों के मुताबिक, बृहस्पतिवार की सुबह 8:21 बजे से ही सूर्यग्रहण लग रहा है, ऐसे में सूतक के चलते 12 घंटों पहले से ही मंदिर के द्वार बंद हो जाएंगे।
